Welcome to the Official Home of the Lumby Fire Truck Restoration Project!  This site will provide you with the latest and greatest news and updates on our restoration.

This truck was rediscovered in 2018 and  was owned by the Oakes Family of Fintry, BC.  This vehicle was a 1947 American LaFrance fire truck and was purchased by the Regional District to protect the communities of Lavington, Lumby and Cherryville in the late 40's.

 

The fire truck served the area until the late 80's and was sold and almost forgotten.
